EmForge is a J2EE-based,
Open-Source, Workflow-Based integrated solution for managing software
development process. Our target is to provide easy to use (on the one hand) and
flexible (on the other hand) solution for software-development teams.

Key Features of EmForge

Integration of tools, used in software-development process:

Documentation(Wiki-based);

Task-Management (Workflow-Based);

Version-Control Management (Subversion-based);

Easy to use - in this project we used
Trac
as prototype

Flexible: Here we mean two sides of flexibility:

Since this project is based on Enterprise-standard technologies it is quite
easy to integrate it with any other systems, used in company. More detailed
information about technologies, used in project you can see in
EmForge Technology
Matrix;

This project uses workflow-engine, which allows administrators and managers
to setup any process they need (different companies & different projects
used different processes for development - you can easily configure
EmForge to follow your
development process, instead of changing your development processes to follow
used tool)

Open-Source: we are using so many open-source tools in the
project that decided to provide our product on the open-source basis too (LGPL
license is used);

PHP is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is
especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML. Its syntax
draws upon C, Java, and Perl, and is easy to learn. PHP runs on many different
platforms and can be used as a standalone executable or as a module under a
variety of Web servers. It has excellent support for databases, XML, LDAP, IMAP,
Java, various Internet protocols, and general data manipulation, and is
extensible via its powerful API. It is actively developed and supported by a
talented and energetic international team. Numerous Open Source and commercial
PHP-based application packages are available.

Ultimate++

Ultimate++ is a radical and innovative GUI toolkit whose number one priority
is programmer productivity. C++ is a great programming language but C++
programmers are sometimes hampered by the lack of effective libraries. U++
libraries enable genuine productivity gains with shorter development times and
greatly reduced application source code size.

Ultimate++ is a C++ cross-platform rapid application development suite. It
includes a set of libraries (GUI, SQL, etc..), and an integrated development
environment.

Rapid development is achieved by the
smart and
aggressive use of C++ rather than through fancy code generators. In this
respect, U++ competes with popular scripting languages while preserving C/C++
runtime characteristics.

The U++ integrated development environment, TheIDE, introduces modular
concepts to C++ programming. It features BLITZ-build technology to speedup C++
rebuilds up to 4 times, Visual designers for U++ libraries,
Topic++
system for documenting code and creating rich text resources for applications
(like help and code documentation) and
Assist++ - a
powerful C++ code analyzer that provides features like code completion,
navigation and transformation.

TheIDE can work with GCC, MinGW and Visual C++ 7.1 or 8.0 compilers
(including free Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 and
Visual C++ 2005
Express Edition) and contains a full featured debugger. TheIDE can also be
used to develop non-U++ applications.

U++ distributions combine U++ with 3rd party tools like MinGW compiler or SDL
library to provide an instant development platform.

The Sync4j Project is an open source initiative to deliver a complete mobile
application platform implementing the SyncML protocol. SyncML defines a standard
way to synchronize data and remotely manage devices. Sync4j has now more then
9,000 downloads per month.

Sync4j consists of:

SyncServer: a Java SyncML server, that you can use with any SyncML client
(e.g. to synchronize the address book on your phone through a pre-installed
SyncML client)

SyncClient PIM for Microsoft Outlook, Windows Mobile Pocket PC PDA and
BlackBerry: out-of-the-box applications that you can use to synchronize your PIM
data (address book and calendar) to a SyncML server

SyncClient API in Java (J2SE and J2ME) and C++: SyncML client APIs that you
can use to build an application based on a sometimes-connected paradigm (e.g. a
sales force automation software on your cell phone or PDA)

SyncConnector DB and Microsoft Exchange: connectors to relational databases
and Microsoft Exchange that you can use to store and extract data from the
SyncServer (and send it to a SyncClient)

vtiger brings you affordable enterprise-class software by
integrating best-of-breed open source technologies, offering it with our
world-class support

Welcome to vtiger, the home of affordable 100% Open Source CRM and Groupware
software. Our experience has been that while open source components are
technically superior, end users, especially the ones in small businesses, often
find it hard to integrate them. Even for trained professionals, systems
integration is not an easy job. Frequently enterprises give up due to the lack
of professionally packaged open source offerings, and turn to costly
closed-source alternatives.

vtiger stands for affordable enterprise software, built on proven open source
components, backed by professional support and services. We create our 100% open
source products by assembling best-of-breed components, augmented by our own
open source contributions.

vtiger business model is to not charge for the software itself (which is
available under a 100% open source compliant license), but for support
subscription services and professional services. Our model offers enterprises
dramatic cost savings, of the order of 70-80% over comparable closed source
products, yet keeps us profitable with the ability to be a solid long-term
supplier. Such efficiencies have been common in the hardware industry, and we
are now bringing these to software.
